Reading

I looooove to read - I read like a dervish, often devouring books in a day or a couple of days. What's more I read almost anything - Science Fiction, War, Romance, Comedy, if it's on paper, I'll certainly have a go. I also have a personal rule that I will try my very very best to never give up on a book - after all - it might get better, even if it seems to start weakly... The only exception I have ever come across, where no matter how hard I tried, no matter how many TIMES I tried, I couldn't get through a book was (and yes, I know its a classic - one of the best books ever - yada yada) The Lord Of The Rings.

You can see what I've been reading recently here.

I also regularly re-read books that have really caught my imagination or my attention. Of all the books I have read, and I have neither the webspace or the memory to list them, two series stand out - I'm a big fan of series' of books - I like to follow a character as they develop, something which is, by necessity, limited in single novels.

Two of my all time favourite series are:

The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, by Douglas Adams
The Seafort Saga, by David Feintuch

I also find myself regularly returning to work by the following Authors (in no particuar order) :

Stephen King, Robert Heinlein, Diane Duane, Peter David, Douglas Adams (he did write more than just HHGTTG), John Grisham, and, of course, I'm a Potter fan, so J. K. Rowling also makes this list.
